Coleen Quirk (Hart)

Coleen Quirk (Hart)

We were very sorry to hear about Coleen Quirk Hart's passing.  She was loved by many!

Condolences to her family!  Rest in peace, Coleen!

Coleen and her husband, Steve at our 2015 class reunion.

Per her obituary:  Coleen Quirk Hart, 66, went to her heavenly home on September 13 after a brave battle with a long illness. Her devotion to family, church, and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.
Coleen was born to the late John Maurice and Constance (Connie) Quirk, in Camden NJ on April 26, 1952. After moving to Lakeland in 1960, she would become a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, now the Church at the Mall. She especially enjoyed her work with the Children’s Ministry.
She graduated from Lakeland High School and attended St. Petersburg Junior College. She worked at Peoples Bank of Lakeland and later Huntington Banks for 26 years as Safe Deposit Manager. She then went to Publix, where she worked for 20 years in Payroll Support until she retired in May 2018.
Coleen enjoyed both her church and work because she loved teaching and working with people. She took delight in listening to other peoples’ stories, travels, kids, grandkids, etc. She remembered birthdays, anniversaries and always wore the perfect outfit for every holiday occasion. The ultimate extrovert.
Coleen is survived by her husband Stephen; her son Christopher Stephen; daughter Esther Brianne (Griffith); and three grandchildren Christopher Holden, Keagan Tyler, and Vanessa Ann. She also is survived by her four sisters Karen (Douglas), Candace (Eckman), Katherine (Joyner), and Kelly (Townsend); and her brother John Quirk III.
Visitation will be Friday, September 28 at 10:00 AM at the Church at the Mall Lakeland followed by a celebration of her life at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully accepts donations to the Florida Baptist Children’s Homes.

Coleen was such a sweet spirit!  Even as kids hanging out, we were always at her house which where we had  so much fun!

She loved the Lord and was a loyal friend.
