Thank you to all of you who took the time to complete the Reunion Survey Questions.  The following is a summary of the questionaire responses.  We will start planning for the 50th by the end of 2018, but currently not planning to do a "mini" reunion.

  1. For the 50th reunion, would you like the event to be:
    • 1 night – 6 people
    • 2 nights & 1 day – 15 people
    • 3 nights and 2 days – 2 people
  2. For the 50th reunion, would you like a Banquet/main event typical of past reunions? Past reunions have had a band and the recommended dress is business casual or dressy.
    • 17 people said yes, they would like the banquest.
    • 1 asked for “very casual”
    • 1 asked for “no band”
  3. 50th Reunion: For a main event, do you have a preference for entertainment? That could include a band, DJ dance, etc.  Of the 19 people who answered this question, there were a variety of ideas about music.
    • This is a difficult as we have a lot of different interests in music.
  4. 50th Reunion: Do you have a suggestion for a venue in or near Lakeland for the 50th reunion?
    • 16 people responded to this question with several saying that the 45th location at the Garden Inn was good.  There were a couple of other suggestions which we can look at, but ultimately, the consensus is that people want to stay at the same place where the events are held to prevent having to drive.
  5. 50th Reunion: We would like the 50th reunion to be special and with the hope that it would be possible for as many as possible to attend. Do you have any thoughts or suggestions that have not been mentioned?
    • 14 people responded, some with very thoughtful responses.  One suggestion was to dedicate our 50th reunion to our classmates who have already passed.
  6. Mini-Reunions: Some classmates would like to have one or more "mini-reunion(s)" prior to the 50th reunion such as a beach weekend…. Would you be interested in attending a "mini" reunion in Florida?
    • 22 people responded with 7 Yes, 6 No and 9 Maybe.  Since there wasn’t a lot of enthusiasm for a mini reunion, those of us who previously coordinated the reunions feel the need for a break, we will not plan a mini reunion.  Classmates are always free to plan something and then advertise their event to the class via the website.

The remaining questions were related to the mini reunion question so I won’t include those here.

There have been alot of bouncing emails that we have sent out.  Some appear to be valid emails.  When we send announcements by email, it will come from this email address: noreply@classcreator.net  It may help to add that email address to your email address book.  Please check your email to assure that it is correct.  Thanks.

In order to view the photos from past reunions, look in the left column menu, you will find "Past Reunion Photos".  Pictures from both the 2010 and 2015 reunion are available.  Unfortunately, you can't comment on them like you can on Facebook.

If anyone would like their photos uploaded here, you can send me a file and I can load it under your name.  You can used a method such as dropbox.com for this purpose.  You can create an account and do that for free up to a point.

If you are on Facebook, you can see other classmate's photo's, especially Dennis Hollingsworth's in the Facebook Group "LHS Class of '70 Reunion".  Any questions, contact Beverly Hersey Binfield
